The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) hosted a Green Space Revitalization Day where 65 patients, staff, and volunteers worked together to enhance six garden spaces throughout CAMH’s Queen Street site. Green space is an important part of a patient’s therapeutic programing. When patients are well enough, they can be outside and tend to the gardens as part of their recovery. Litter was cleared, trees and shrubs were trimmed, weeds were removed and mulch was applied. Some areas were planted with seasonal plants for the fall season. With support from TD FEF, patients who themselves cannot garden can still enjoy the beauty and therapeutic benefit of the green space while looking out from their windows.
