TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

Founded by TD Bank Group in 1990, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF) is a national charity that funds environmental projects across Canada.

The Foundation supports a wide range of environmental initiatives, with a primary funding focus on revitalizing, animating and stewarding public green spaces.

TD Tree Days

TD FEF's flagship annual volunteer program invites TD colleagues and community members to plant trees and shrubs in communities across Canada each fall.

Our commitment in action

  • Since 1990, TD FEF has supported more than 29,500 grassroots environmental projects across Canada with over $117,000,000 in funding.

  • 71 schools received funding in 2024 to help them safely implement naturalized areas, learning gardens and outdoor classrooms.

  • In 2024, 532 local projects were supported, connecting community members to parks, green spaces, wildlife and environmental education.

  • TD provided more than $1 million in additional funding in 2024 to support TD FEF grants and programs like TD Tree Days.
